Nottingham Castle has, since 1965 when the Collection had to move on the closure of Normanton Barracks in Derby, provided an excellent Gallery to display artefacts of the Regiment, The Sherwood Foresters, the 45th and 95th of Foot along with its associated Nottinghamshire Militia and Rifle Corps. The Museum is open every day 10 am to 5 pm March to September, and 10 am to 4 pm October to February (last entry 30 minutes before closing). The Museum is closed Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day. Entry to the Museum is GB£3.50 Adults, GB£2.00 Children/Concessions and GB£8.00 Family Ticket (2 adults and up to 3 children). Group Rate: 1 free ticket for every 10 tickets purchased) Tickets allow access both to the Castle and The Museum of Nottingham Life at Brewhouse Yard. There are no parking facilities on site, except for disabled visitors, but the Castle is just a few minutes walk from the City Centre where there is ample car parking. Derby City Museum and Art Gallery, The Strand, Derby has provided room to display artefacts of predecessor regiments, The Sherwood Foresters (Notts and Derbys), the 95th (Derbyshire) Regiment, Derbyshire Militia and Rifle Corps. The Museum is open Mondays 11 am to 5 pm, Tuesdays to Saturday 10 am to 5 pm and Sundays 2 pm to 5 pm. Admission is free.
