Mess Dress The Cabinet displays an Officer from The Worcestershire and Sherwood Foresters and a Senior Non Commissioned Officer from The Sherwood Foresters in Mess Dress which is worn for formal social occassions. The Officer's Mess Dress complete with medals belonged to Captain Sean Dolan who was Killed in Action in Afghanistan on 30 June 2007. Kindly donated by his family. The Silver Centrepiece which was the property of the 95th Derbyshire Regiment later the 2nd Batallion The Sherwood Foresters, is part of the Regimental silver and is on loan from the Regiment. |

Derbyshire Volunteers and Militia Cabinet contains uniforms of 3rd Derbyshire Rifle Volunteer Corps, 1st Derbyshire Volunteer Battalion c 1887-1901 and 2nd Derbyshire Volunteer Battalion as well as a Bandsmans sidearm c1865, Wirksworth Local Volunteers flute case and various shakos of the period.

Private Bernard McQUIRT VC 95th (Derbyshire) Regiment. Artistic Impression of McQuirt, the first person in the Regiment to be awarded the Victoria Cross for Gallant conduct in the field on 6 January 1858 at the capture of the entrenched town of Rowa, Central India.
